CONCORD, N.H. – The New Hampshire Senate today voted 13-11 to pass the proposed gerrymandered congressional map, and shortly after, Governor Sununu pledged to veto that map.

Devon Chaffee, Executive Director of the ACLU of New Hampshire, said, “We thank Governor Sununu for his pledge to veto the proposed congressional map, which is gerrymandered, unfair, and designed to cheat the system for the next ten years. We also urge the Governor to continue his commitment to New Hampshire voters and veto the maps for State Senate, House, and Executive Council should they reach his desk – which are each also gerrymandered, according to independent analysis. Every Granite State voice should be heard equally in both our federal and state elections, and it should be the voters themselves who choose their politicians."
