Early this month, President Donald Trump signed a measure reversing new FCC privacy protections. These protections would have required Internet Service Providers (ISPs) – like Comcast, Verizon, and AT&T – to seek your permission before sharing information about your browsing history, location history, contacts, and other personal information. Today, New Hampshire lawmakers responded by filing bi-partisan legislation.
“The legislation filed today makes clear that New Hampshire will continue to fight for the online privacy rights of all Granite Staters,” said Devon Chaffee, Executive Director of the American Civil Liberties Union of New Hampshire. “We applaud the outstanding leadership of those New Hampshire Senators and Representatives who introduced this measure.”
