From Henry Klementowicz, staff attorney at the ACLU of New Hampshire:
"We are disappointed by the vetoes of HB 105 and HB 106. Both of these bills would have removed barriers to the ballot box. The right to vote is one of the most fundamental rights we have as Americans, and ensuring access to the polls for eligible voters should be a bipartisan priority. As history has repeatedly shown, ensuring access must include removing anything resembling a poll tax. We will continue to fight for voting rights and against HB 1264 in the statehouse and the courthouse."
